BRINGING LIGHT
Where There Is None
As part of Agreenco’s ongoing Projects with Purpose CSR campaign, we recently had the privilege of responding to a heartfelt need in our community. We were introduced to Ophola Nonjojo, a remarkable 14-year-old girl living with multiple disabilities, including blindness.
While her family prefers not to define her by a diagnosis, Ophola’s resilience and gentle spirit speak volumes. She connects to the world in her own unique way – by touch. It’s through her hands that she recognises people and navigates her surroundings, a beautiful reminder of the strength of human connection.
When we received a list of her immediate needs, our team was moved to act. Through the care and coordination of Geroldine Strauss, who manages Corporate Social Responsibility at Agreenco’s social responsibility work, Agreenco was able to provide her with the essentials she required, tailored specifically to her situation.
Meeting Ophola, her mother, and her aunt was an emotional and deeply rewarding experience. These women exuded warmth, grace, and gratitude. Moments like these are exactly why Projects with Purpose exists.
The Agreenco team believes that purposeful action transforms lives. And while we may not be able to solve every challenge, we can always choose to show up with compassion, dignity, and real help where it’s needed most.
